Chef Rhys’ Delicious Pancake Recipe
We love pancakes in our home. As a little boy Rhys would always want to help to cook and loved getting all the ingredients. Here we share our recipe that we use at our home for pancakes.
What you will need
- 100g of plain flour
- 2 large eggs
- 300 ml milk
- 1 tsp sunflower or vegetable oil, plus a little extra for frying
- 1 bar of chocolate of your choice
Crack your eggs in a bowl and whisk, mix in the milk to the egg mix.
Place the flower in a bowl and then add the egg mix a little at a time while mixing. you should end up with a smooth consistency. leave to stand in the fridge for 5 to 10 minutes.
Chop the strawberries and bananas and chocolate.
Turn on the hob to a low to medium heat and add a little oil to the frying pan (make sure its non stick, or you will end up with a big mess)
Then using one full ladle of the pancake mix, pour into the pan, you will start to see it bubbling. Once the mix starts to turn to a solid you can turn over to the other side.
cook for a minute and remove from the heat.
Add a drizzle of lemon and a small handful of strawberries and banana and also the chocolate. No need to melt it, the heat from the pancake will do that for you.
Fold, serve and enjoy your delicious pancakes.
Give it a try with your little ones and let us know how it went.
Rhys will be serving his very own pancakes this week at Caffi Rhys in Dre Twt.
